Public Notice > MSB008118 Big Lake Library Drainage Easement
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (Borough) Land & Resource Management Division has received a request from the Borough Public Works, Pre-Design Division for a 20’ X 30’ drainage easement on the Big Lake Library property (tax account 17N03W21C009). Public Works is working on a project to address Big Lake’s Jolly Creek drainage issues. The project intends to capture the drainage at Hollywood Road and Klutina Drive intersection and convey it to Jordan Lake via a piped storm drain system.

Description-Our Purpose: To provide a direct and continuing means of citizen participation in government and local affairs;
to provide a method by which they can work together for expression and discussion of their opinions, needs and desires in a manner that will have an impact on our community’s development and service;
to provide to governmental agencies a method for receiving opinions, needs, desires and recommendations of residents and groups, and to give local governing bodies an improved basis for decision-making and assignment of priorities for all capital improvements and governmental programs affecting community development and individual well-being.
We offer a variety of grants, programs and services that promote sustainable living and environmental awareness. From community clean-up events to educational workshops, our programs are designed to inspire action and create change.
